Icicles - boy have we had them. This is from one drip from the roof gutter onto the clematis covering the pergola. It stayed there for a week and has only disappeared today. I didn't count the points, but there must have been about three dozen. Everybody got fed up with the snow eventually. Even the children stopped playing in it.
Shirley in hospital having had both knees 'manipulated'. The surgeon who did it was built like a Sumo wrestler!! He said he had not failed to release a seized knee - ever!
This is the machine that mum was strapped to for three hours at a time. There was a motor in the bed of the machine that drew the sliding bar along the bed, making the knee flex. It was very slow, but it did the job.

Between 5-6 inches of snow has fallen in the last 24 hours and it's freezing. Shops have sold out of milk and bread - not to mention sledges!!! Some Brits always 'panic buy' at the slightest hint of bad weather.
