It's parcel opening time at Sarahs' house. We called in to see the girls before going on to Trudys' house, for lunch. It was a good day. Mum and I were glad that you had Cindy and Jeff with you in NZ. Perhaps next year........
Duke enjoyed his christmas - by tearing all the wrapping paper into small pieces.
Come on dad - I can't wait much longer!
Rich being told how to set-up the Wii - by Beth!

Beth always wanted Ariel.
You certainly know it's chhristmas in Trudys' house!

I thought it was quiet upstairs, so I poked the camera around the bannister post and found two very engrossed children in the back bedroom.
It's time to relax and catch our breath!
Just what I wanted!!

I've had a good Christmas!
End of a busy day
I think they know what's coming.
At the end of the day Mar and Kaths' 'Father Christmas' performed again! Trouble is - there are two boys missing from this picture.

We went for a special train ride last weekend at Bitterne Steam Railway, in Bristol. I don't know who was most exited - the children, or Trudy!!
A very strange big boy got into the compartment with us. I think he was hoping to get a present as well!!
They were all a bit excited.
The Duchess and her big boy helper were on hand to make sure things went well.!!
My 'Bruvver' isn't usually like this!
I wonder what I will get from Father Christmas?
This how you look when talking to Father Christmas!! I think Emily was a little over awed.
Father Christmas was very nice. He spent some minutes talking to the children.
Time to unwrap the presents.
What did you get?

We've had some really nice presents.
At this point the train reached the end of the line and the engine had to 'run-round' to the other end, to pull us back to the station.
Something is hissing at us!!
I don't think the engine will fall over Aaron.
It was a good trip. I think that this is the sixth year.

Back to the usual!! Whoever invented DS's needs shooting!

We went to Emily's nativity play today. She was one of the stars in the sky! We couldn't take pictures during the play but here is a selection taken afterwards. It was very good and the children remembered most of their lines. They sang beautifully.

What did you think of it? Did I do well?
Not what a star should do, but it's just Emily!!
Reward for a job well done!

This is the latest school photo of Hannah and Emily. I think Sarah has a copy to send to you in NZ. I think it is the best picture they have had taken together.

Halloween - and all that entails! We had about twenty witches and warlocks visit during the evening - and two particular 'little witches' managed to force their way into the house. They could only be pacified with 'CHOCOLATE'!!

While the girls had a 'pamper party' , Aaron, Rich and myself went to Haynes Motor Museum, at Sparkford in Somerset. It was a really good day out. About two hundred cars in seven halls. It was most impressive. Aaron picked out some of his favourite cars and I have included them in the blog.
I'm as tall as this De Lorean. But in the next picture.....
Why have I grown so tall!
This American ambulance was fun. By pressing all the buttons on the panel, Aaron had the roof lights, grille lights, 'nee naws' and sirens going all at the same time. It also played the tune from 'Ghost busters'.
Aaron had a try at driving on the simulator and did quite well.
I've been practising. Now watch carefully dad and I will show you how it's done.
Come on dad! - Try and get your knee down on the next bend.
Can we take this one home Dad?
